This photo shows one section of the large jaguar exhibit that is one of the true highlights of a visit to the Jacksonville Zoo. There are 2 jaguar enclosures and 8 jaguars at this zoo, as there are several off-exhibit spaces that the big cats rotate through.
The several off-exhibit spaces are just very small naked cages.....Maybe the Jaguar exhibit is one of the highlights of Jacksonville Zoo, but only for the visitors.Its not really abad exhibit, so don't undertand me wrong, but I miss more climbing trees and more hiding places for the jaguars. But I say, it a much better exhibit for jaguars than the new one at Miami Zoo. I have to say, the Us Zoos have a lot of trouble with really good big cat exhibits...

Have you ever been to europe ? If not, come to see a lot of really good big cat exhibits...There are a few in the USA, but not many. So the Us-Zoos can learn a lot of european zoos, a lot.....
