With underwater viewing (that the jags were nowhere near!).

How do people feel about the old "temple/ruins" style of exhibit? I think this one looks fantastic, and gives the impression of more climbing opportunities for the cats. But I know they aren't to everyones taste.

Jacksonville has a spectacular jaguar complex and many folks in the past have debated whether it is the most impressive exhibit of its kind in North America. Often there is a contrast between the themed ruins in Jacksonville and the more naturalistic approach of Woodland Park Zoo:

Can't forget the underwater viewing, snowleopard! One of, if not the best Jaguar exhibits. I do prefer naturalistic over the temple ruins. I am also partial to desert-type Jaguar exhibits.

'Temple ruins' probably wouldn't be my first choice of theming, but it does make it easier to build in glass viewing and this is certainly one of the better examples of the style.

I suppose a lot of people brought up on Rudyard Kipling or Walt Disney will be quite at home in a ruined temple themed enclosure. Personaly I think it works for Jags, possibly tigers and monkeys if it is done well -as this one is- and it looks like a ruin that nature is recolonizing, but I don't feel it works with the likes of Elephant houses etc.
Thanks for the imput folks.

I think it can work for elephants, Melbourne Zoo has done a pretty good job with theirs (although its more for the exhibit and fences rather than the actual house). There are definitely some awful temple ruin exhibits out there though.
