Land of the Tiger - Wrinkled Hornbill Exhibit

The tiger exhibits look nice but I feel like the hornbill exhibits (as well as the tiger exhibits) could use more shade and trees. How lush the exhibit gets will be seen later of course.

You have an excellent point and in fact Florida's vegetation grows at an alarming rate throughout much of the state. I've toured about a dozen zoos (mainly on a 2012 road trip) and the amount of lush undergrowth in enclosures from zoos in places like Miami, Brevard, Palm Beach, Tampa, Naples, etc, has been amazing. Jacksonville is in the far north-east section of Florida but this hornbill exhibit in the photo will more than likely look far different in the future.

To the right of the photo, the hornbills have access to a nest box in a fake tree (the feature is available for both hornbill exhibits)
