This is just one of three meerkat exhibits at the Kansas City Zoo with two in Africa area alone (the other exhibit is in the "Discovery Barn"). I believe that zoo would discontinue the meerkat exhibits in Africa and replace them with another animal species (klipspringers I assume) and continue to display meerkats in the "Discovery Barn". Of course, this is just my speculation.
