Are the elephant paddocks here really over 4 acres in size? In a few years there will be 25 elephant exhibits in the U.S. that are a minimum of 3 acres or larger in size. Very impressive.
The whole outdoor elephant enclosure covers 4.5 acres. Granted, most of the exhibit is long and narrow, but the elephants appear to be in good health and this is one of my favorite elephant exhibits because of its' size.
