One of my least favorite exhibits at the zoo from a strictly aesthetic point of view. While this exhibit provides plenty of enrichment items for the orangutans, I'd rather see them in an naturalistic-looking enclosure (enrichment included) like that of the chimp and gorilla enclosures.
Granted, when this building was built it was supposed to be a temporary exhibit until a new Asia exhibit could be built (their last living quarters didn't meet todays' standards), that was back in 2002. I hope that zoo can make orangutans a priority animal within the next few years.
