@DavidBrown I have fond memories of my visit to Kansas City Zoo in 2010, including the 95-acre African section that was a 'zoo-within-a-zoo'. I arrived at this vast Chimpanzee forest to find no apes anywhere, but after waiting around for a few minutes it almost raised the hairs on the back of my neck to see a troop of the apes emerge from the forest. I then proceeded to the air-conditioned building with huge viewing windows and it was easily one of my more memorable zoo-visiting experiences.*
