This 3-acre chimp exhibit is one of the best animal habitats that I've ever seen, and what most people don't realize is that the apes have access to the enormous forest that is partially shown in this photo. The mammoth enclosure is part of the amazing, 100-acre walk-through African section of the zoo, surely one of the largest and best African zones of any zoo.

But why did the zoo feel compelled to "augment" this forest with a banal rope swing? So unnecessary. At least put a realistic artificial vine in. Or just let the chimps use the trees.
@JaxElephant: I have noticed on several posts that you have commented negativly about the Jacksonville Zoo. I have never been there, so I can't comment, but do you have something against them?
Oh no, its my local zoo and I love it every much . The zoo sent their Chimps to another zoological facility(I think the OKC zoo) so they could get a better social group. After seeing pics like these, I only wish they could live in this eden with this huge group.
