Knoxville Zoo - Red Panda Village

Do you remember how big the exhibit is? and how many pandas were on exhibit?

The exhibit isn't really that big, but it does go back far. The zoo had 2 pandas in the enclosure that is in this photo, and then another 3 on display in 2 other exhibits. There are 2 outdoor exhibits and 1 indoor exhibit, with 5 red pandas on display combined. However, the zoo specializes in those little critters and there is always another 5-7 red pandas off exhibit to make 10-12 in total. That's amazing, as most zoos only ever have 1-2.

That would take a lot of bamboo to feed them all.

do red panda eat as much bamboo as giant panda, as i fear you are getting mixed up.
