How does this exhibit work - do you just walk through it on a pathway like you would through a walk-through aviary? Do they have staff posted in the exhibit to make sure that nobody is harassing the pandas?
The Phoenix Zoo had staff posted at their "Monkey Jungle" squirrel monkey exhibit to avoid any (bad human-caused) monkey business. I hope that this zoo makes sure that nobody is throwing things at the pandas to get them to move or going up and trying to pet them.
There is a pathway through the small exhibit, and a small wall separates humans from red pandas. I have fond memories of Knoxville Zoo and its amazing breeding success with this species is excellent (around 95 and counting! - 2nd in the world) as the zoo has red panda signage everywhere. The zoo's mascot is Bamboo, a red panda, Red Panda Village contained 5 of the animals on my visit (in 3 different areas) and the zoo usually has 10-12 red pandas at any one time. It is great when a zoo is known for a particular species and has some resounding success in breeding those animals.
