Tiger Exhibit - Lincoln Park Zoo

July 2008.
Nice habitat for a tiger, regardless of what sub-species. But anyways, do you happen to know what species of tigers reside in this habitat?

I think that it might be siberian, but I disagree with you on the exhibit. To me it is a basic rock grotto that was probably built about 80 years ago.

True, but at least this grotto has got a few trees and natural grasses in it, a lot don't.

It was Siberian when I visited 6 years ago. However, this is not so bad, I have seen worse exhibits for tigers in many other zoos. Maybe it is old, but that does not automatically exclude it from being useful. At least they have bred a lot of cats in these grottos.
