I don't know that I would call a Giant Anteater a 'Small' Mammal. And I don't actually recall seeing a giant anteater at the zoo, either.

I do remember seeing a pair of great anteaters at LPZ sometime in the eighties, when i studied in Chicago. they were at this building, though of course they are not small mammals and their space was too limited. This small mammal house is now a cafe and the regenstein small mammal reptile house is much better.
