It's good that they've made the species smaller and they've got large enclosures for lions and tigers but from what I've read the species inside don't have outdoor enclosures and those outside have only a small indoor holding!
Surely reducing the amount of species held would be a great idea in terms of husbandry?
The zoos website list that African Lions, Amur Tigers, Amur Leopards, Eurasian Lynx, Jaguar, Pallas Cat, Puma, Red Panda, Serval, Snow Leopard live in the Lion House so they have already reduced the number of species greatly (Persian Leopards, Black Leopards, cheetah, etc. were some former residents). When I last went I saw that all the animals have outdoor acess except the serval, Eurasian Lynx, and Jaguar. The jaguar was not in the indoor exhibit so I do not know If the jaguar died or was hiding.

That's admirable, at least they're doing some down-sizing. Still quite a large collection though. (Quite mouth-watering to have them all under one roof!)

Keeping those three species indoors in this day and age is not something I agree with, they're all quite hardy animals and would not be worse off if given outdoor access!
