This exhibit now holds a pair of Black-necked Swans and a bunch of Mallards. I wish the zoo would bring back the monkeys to the island. I think this exhibit also held Ring-tailed Lemurs at one point.
That's a shame, as this was the first exhibit you came to when entering the zoo. I don't count mallards as a zoo animal, and Black-necked swans, while an interesting zoo animal, don't do justice to the first exhibit. I think the island would be wasted without some sort of mammalian life on it.
