March 2009-The zoo only has this elderly (17 years old) female that lives in the children's zoo. This was probably the 5th time I've seen it out as it's always sleeping in it's nest box.

There are not many civets in North American zoos, and so it's great that you've managed to get a few photos of one. I only wish that it was out of its box when I toured the zoo with you last summer!
Yeah, I was suprised that it was walking around the exhibit, so I took about 10 photos of it since I didn't know for how long she will still be alive. The zoo used to have 2 of them, but the other one must have died since it's not on exhibit yet and I doubt it went to another zoo since both civets were kind of old.
