That's something with the extreme heatwave we've been enduring here in the L.A. area, I would have imagined her not getting out of the pool. I'm kind of hoping for a cooldown before my next visit. I wish she had been out last week when I attended Music In The Zoo. It was so nice walking around the grounds in the evening. Maybe I'll plan to go this coming Friday evening(the 24th) for the next music evening event. The theme is classic Rock.

Well, it wasn't that hot when I was there. It was at least 5-10 degrees cooler with all the shade in that area. There was also a slight breeze that day.
She did look wet when I got there, so maybe she had just gone out of the water. I'm going to the zoo tomorrow, so maybe I'll get to see her in the water.
River Otters can't stay in the water too long because their fur isn't completely waterproof. They have to get out and dry off and spread the oils from their skin glands to keep their fur waterproof. So they mostly are in the water in the morning and evening if you really want to seem the active and playing. Midday they are usually lying about on land.
