Good to see that they are starting to add detail to the long wall on the left. Also, for the first time I saw construction work being done on a saturday, and there was actually two large cranes being used instead of the one seen here.
Also, I saw that they have started to dig the hole for the large pool in the larger yard.
@Blackduiker - Just a friendly reminder. This is an international site, which means dates should be listed day then month (15-1-10 in your example), not month then day as only we Americans do.
I usually just put Jan 15 instead of numbers on this site to avoid confusion.
I'll keep that in mind, though wouldn't that also mean we should only be using the metric system as well? Meters rather than feet? And that hasn't been the strictly accepted policy either. Or hectares rather than acres for that matter. I don't believe there has been any particular guideline set, being that we are an international site. A site that includes quite a few American members. Which might not be a bad post to start; a tally of members from each nation represented on ZooChat.
Well, we probably should use meters instead of feet. But you always write which one you are referring to, so that clears up confusion. With the date example, there is no way of knowing because it is just numbers. (In your case we actually do know because there are not 15 months in a year. But if you had gone on 1-12-09, half the members would think it was December 1st and the other (American) half would think it was January 12th.)
okay, but does it matter if the picture was taken on january 12th or december 1st? If someone is confused and they care enough, they can clarify right? Or perhaps we can assume that since this was posted in the US forum by someone from California, that it will be dated the American way. Just because posting it the American way will be confusing to international users, so would posting the international way be confusing to Americans. But in reality I think we are ALL smart enough to figure out what the date is if we even care in the first place.

My point exactly Ituri. I often have to rethink the dating of many non-American members when reading their posts, but take into consideration their origins and leave it at that. Several of you old enough to remember fellow Americans, can recall several decades ago, America's attempt to make the big switch to the metric system. About all that came of it were litred bottles of drinking water and soft drinks. But in consideration of others, I'll make an asserted effort to at least date my photos by naming the month, then date and year. For example: Jan. 15, 2010.
