Surprisingly, it does snow in Los Angeles. In the past couple of years it has snowed in the hills of Malibu, in my neighboring city of Baldwin Park, and in the mountains around Los Angeles, but in this case it is not real snow. The zoo crushed iced and blew it onto the exhibit as an enrichment item for the bears, chimps, tigers, and snow leopards.
