This has now been remodeled and it is currently the North American River Otter exhibit. The pool and enclosure is surprisingly bigger than people think. I know because I've had the chance to go inside the exhibit. Not only this enclosure, but all of the round houses are actually larger than they seem.

I agree, the round houses are not so bad in terms of enclosure size, as I commented on a different photo. Too bad some of them were really run down. I think you said one houses Serval and this one Otters; they really are suitable for many small carnivores, provided they are renovated and made more natural.

Does the zoo still have the north american river otters? I think that they may have been off exhibit the day I went. There was a closed roundhouse in this area.
