Do you know why the sea lions were removed from this exhibit? When it first opened I remember it was stated that sea lions and harbor seals would be in this exhibit. This obviously hasn't happened. I enjoy harbor seals, but am curious why the sea lions got booted.

One reason I seem to remember, was that the aging Sea Lions had trouble making their way out of the pool. I also heard rumor that before they built the extra barriers up along the glass walls, the sea lions were actually leaping out onto the concrete on occasion.
