Billy was given a leafy branch by a keeper as a snack, which he devoured rather quickly. There were many downed branches to choose from throughout the zoo after southern California's recent record Santa Ana Winds. Some 300 trees throughout Griffith Park blown down, with winds in certain areas as high as 97 MPH! Billy was limited to this yard for the day with repairs being made to one of the fences that was damaged as a result of the high winds. Apparently a tree came down. Several trees were blown down throughout the zoo.
