Indian Rhinoceros

When she passes do you think that the LA Zoo will get more Indian rhinos? I wonder what their long terms plan for this complex are?

It seems likely that the conversion of one of the yards to a hippo exhibit was a stopgap measure that has now become permanent since no new hippo exhibit will be built any time soon, unlike what was originally planned.

With one elderly hippo, one elderly rhino, and an older (but functional) exhibit complex I wonder if they will just discontinue holding both of these species when the current animals pass?

I think the complex would be perfect for Pygmy Hippos or Malayan Tapirs. All they need to do is add more trees in and around the exhibit if they do decide to go with a Rainforest species.
