The rainforest exhibit for golden-headed lion tamarins (Leontopithecus chrysomelas), geoffroy's marmosets (Callithrix geoffroyi) and pygmy marmosets (Callithrix pygmaea) inside the Monkey House in ZOO Antwerpen.
The golden-headed lion tamarin is one of the flagship species of the KMDA who also manages the EEP programme and there are no less than four separate exhibits for this species inside the zoo.
The Monkey House was opened in 1978 replacing an even older building on the same site. The 13 species of primates and 2 species of xenarthra inhabiting the house all have all-indoor exhibits.
