Are these a new addition to the zoo? I can't remember seeing them when I went years ago.

Yes, they are relatively new. mstickmanp has a photo from when they first were at the zoo from 2009.

I believe the original pair from 2009 came from the San Diego zoo, but I don't think the current pair is the same one from a couple of years ago. This current pair was successful in producing a calf I believe this year or late last year.

It's good to see someone breeding them. I believe they are phase-outs as well but I'm not sure. Does Los Angeles not bother with TAG.
