Is this little fella still in sunny California?

Unfortunately, no. She passed away at least a year ago, preceded by her sister several years prior. Both were on exhibit together for some years in the Children's Zoo nursery.

Are there any in private collections? This seems like exactly the type of thing you would expect to be kept as exotic pets.

Both of the civets were confiscated by USFW at LAX. They were in a mans pocket and the customs agent saw the pocket moving as the man went through the line. They were both extremely small when they arrived and were partially handraised in the zoos nursery.
