Australia House echidna and brush-tailed bettong yard

Echidnas and brush-tailed bettongs live in this yard. The wombat is next door. Sugar gliders supposedly live in the trees, but I did not see any.

As of spring 2015 this is the only major nocturnal exhibit in California as the SF Zoo's aye-aye exhibit has closed and the SD Zoo kiwi house was bulldozed. SD Zoo is supposedly building a nocturnal exhibit for aye-ayes in 2017.

This is the most awesome exhibit I've seen. A nocturnal house that exhibits rare animals! So cool!

When the animals are active it is a cool exhibit. Today the woylies, echidna, and wombat were all active and walking and hopping around. Frequently all you see when you go in there is a wombat-sized lump in the darkness.
