Lesser Flamingos

It's a mixed flock of lesser and Chilean flamingos. They are slowly transitioning to all lessers according to one source I came across recently.

You may be right, I not sure I could tell the difference. I was just going on what the sign said and the fact the Zambezi River Basin is part of their native range. Also, I saw a smaller flock of larger adult flamingos in a different part of the zoo with a sign that said they are Chilean Flamingos. It would make sense they transition to Lesser Flamingos which fits well with this new exhibit but, I don't think they co-mingled the flocks.

There are definitely birds of both species within this exhibit. The majority of the birds on the right-hand side of this picture are Chileans.
