Africa - Walk-Through Sitatunga/White Stork Exhibit

July 21st, 2010.
It is rather extraordinary, as other than perhaps small duikers (Sedgwick County) I cannot think of a walk-through exhibit with large antelope anywhere.

Just a quick question, is it only female sitatunga in this enclosure- I assume the horned males would be more of a safety issue than the females.

On the day of my visit the walk-through area was unfortunately closed due to the introduction of a male to the small herd, so there is probably at least one male in with humans at all times and sitatunga are shy so I'm sure there are no problems. I wonder if this is the only walk-through large antelope exhibit in North America?
