The view of one of the smaller bird of prey aviaries in ZOO Antwerpen with Antwerpen Centraal Station, one of the biggest railway stations in Western Europe, just behind it. I uploaded this shot to show how close the zoo actually is to the station.
The smaller Bird of Prey Aviaries are easily the dullest and worst functioning exhibits in the zoo. The Bird of Prey aviaries that were originally built as part of the Jubilee Complex which opened in 1968 to celebrate the zoo’s 125th anniversary (also including the Nocturama, Aquaforum and Carnivore exhibits).
