I'm not sure that I can think of another zoo that uses as much rockwork as the Milwaukee County Zoo. It seems as if all of the big cat, bear and even many of the hoofstock exhibits all have massive rocky backdrops. From reviews on ZooChat and in books it appears that the zoo has an excellent animal collection in average to subpar exhibits that are all a little outdated.
It is interesting to note that Hot Lips, the bear, and Maggie, the tapir, were both long-lived residents of the zoo who passed away within one year of each other, ending their species' tenure here.
