Will answer my own previous question with some info I've found online in case anyone else is curious about the history of this particular turtle :
"Onassis arrived at the Milwaukee County Zoo on Valentine's Day 1969, less than four months after Jackie Kennedy married Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis. Another turtle named Jackie arrived with her but died a short time later."
