This absolutely brilliant set of habitats is initially reached via a large central plaza. A visitor passes a cafe, gift shop, fountain and a meerkat enclosure before strolling through a cavelike entrance into Russia's Grizzly Coast. The sea otter, grizzly bear, wild boar and amur leopard habitats are all hidden around rocky corners, and it is one of the best zoo areas in all of North America.
