Regular visitors are not allowed up to this point, so "geomorph" must know someone that works at the aquarium, been part of a sea otter feeding session, or perhaps paid extra for a private tour. The Kelp Forest exhibit might have been the tallest aquarium tank on the planet when it opened in the 1980's, but I doubt that it holds the position any longer.
The mechanical baffle that creates the surges in the tank is viewed from here...actually there is one small window view for the public at the top of the aqaurium, that's where I took this shot...no extra fee or tour required!
