A nicely detailed, all-indoor exhibit that has a lot of natural light streaming in via the skylights above the sandy beach. There is a range of substrate for the birds, and a pool that gradually deepens to allow for some diving from the inhabitants.
The birds are snowy plover, long-billed curlew, killdeer and red-necked phalarope, while the other species are bay ghost shrimp, topsmelt and sand crabs. I remember there to be a touch tank with bat rays right behind the excellent shorebirds exhibit.
