Hot Pink Flamingos - Aquatic Graveyard

July 19th, 2011.
I assume these are graves for species that have been extirpated from Montery Bay (but not globally extinct)?

That is a great conclusion, and this exhibit is part of the extensive climate change section in Hot Pink Flamingos.

I've not seen this exhibit yet. Does it do an effective job of explaining climate change and the implications for aquatic life in your opinion?

"Hot Pink Flamingos" does a fantastic job of relating climate change to regular lifestyles, via computer-generated screens set in a kitchen and the numerous other interactive areas. The animal exhibits are the weakest part of the gallery, but the cemetery is very effective and I saw many people stop to stare at the original concept.
