Swimming in the Great Tide Pool is an extra tour that costs money, but it looks like a fantastic experience and the enormous Pacific Ocean is just to the right of this photo. And yes, the folks in the pool are breeders.
This pool is also used for teaching rescued baby sea otters how to swim so that they can eventually be released back into the wild. It is quite joyful to watch when the babies are out there.
