Were you impressed with Moody Gardens? I've heard positive things, even though it is quite expensive to tour. Also, where were you standing when you took this photo?
The photo was from my room in the Moody Garden Hotel. A great perch from which to watch pelicans.
The rain forest was well done and much improved over the pre-Hurrican Ike version. But I have seen a lot of indoor rain forests! The free roaming saki were a definite hit
The aquarium had great moments but the lay out was the most twisted and non-intuitive I have ever seen. Best Pacific octopus moment I've ever enjoyed.
The giant otter exhibit wasn't beautiful (being in a courtyard as it is) but the otters had a lot of varied space and were very active and great to watch from above or at grade.
As I was there for a conference, frankly, I didn't notice the prices.
