Wow! How is this not the best Clouded Leopard exhibit anywhere? I need to get to Nashville--the zoo looks stunning. Who cares if the collection is not huge? Quality over quantity.....

The zoo is fantastic, as there is a Jungle Gym that can pack in 1,000 children, one of the top 3 elephant exhibits in North America, arguably the #1 meerkat exhibit on the continent, a 1.5 acre Masai giraffe exhibit, one of the 10 best reptile/amphibian houses, and basically the entire zoo is top-notch. It only just opened in 1997 so all of the enclosures have been designed with the use of modern technology and there are zero pits, grottoes, bars or cement paddocks anywhere.
As far as the clouded leopard exhibit is concerned, it is not quite as large as it appears to be in photos. The entire Bamboo Trail area (red pandas, guenons, lemurs, clouded leopards, etc) has a few exhibits that are a tad on the small side but otherwise excellent. A strong candidate for the best clouded leopard exhibit in North America is the one in the "Asia Trail" area of the National Zoo, but San Diego used to have a terrific enclosure for clouded leopards in "Monkey Trails + Forest Tales" until a different species was put in there.
