The zoo installed these metal collars on all the trees in a vain attempt to keep the cubs below them. As you can see, the collars are not having the desired effect.

Yes, although at the time of my visit they had managed to squeeze through a small opening at the top, presumably where a mature tree exits the net. I did not see it, but staff had found them on top before public hours.
Interesting. The amount of stories where animals escape but don't leave are fairly common. I wonder what they were using to have the mesh wrap around the tree.
