This exhibit won the major AZA exhibit prize last year, and edged out the Minnesota Zoo for the Best Exhibit of the year award. It's nice to finally see some photos.
The two are so different! The NAIB exhibit was a brand new construction while the MN Zoo's Minnesota Trail exhibit was an inspired renovation of an old set of exhibits. Certainly the NAIB exhibit had more "flash"
(You're not thinking of MN Zoo's Russia's Grizzly Coast, are you? That was this year's winner and was not up last year)
zooplantman, yes I think at the time I commented I did not know the difference between the two Minnesota exhibits, I am more familiar with them now but have not yet visited that zoo.
