My name is Amy Schaare, I am currently studying the Certificate in Captive Wild Animal Management through Unitec New Zealand.
We have some pretty major assignments coming up - a husbandry protocol and a powerpoint presentation both requiring information about enclosure design, natural history, feeding, breeding and transport for a species of our choosing.
I have always been fascinated by Okapi and would really love to use Okapi as my chosen animal for these assignments, however, as you can probably imagine, there are no zoos in New Zealand that house Okapi, and I am finding it difficult to obtain sufficient information about them. I am hoping you can help me by directing me to somewhere I can find an Okapi husbandry manual, or connect me with somebody that can help me.
