This museum certainly has some architecturally stylish sections and thanks for uploading a number of photos into the gallery. I have a couple of friends that include this facility in their all-time zoo lists but whether the establishment is actually a "zoo" is definitely up for debate. How many animal exhibits are there in total? Are they mainly all terrariums?

snowleopard, this is definitely not a zoo! All the animal exhibits are terrariums and there aren't very many. Two of them are in the Life Gallery, and I did not note the species...I think one might have been brine shrimp? Or something similar. Just two small dome terrariums. The remainder are in a play space for kids called Our Backyard, so many visitors never even see those, I happened to poke my head in and was intrigued by the bright modern wall graphics. Then I saw that there were some live animal exhibits in the room...13 terrariums in all. I will list the species in a reply on one of the photos of Our Backyard instead of here. As you know, I keep ranked lists of favorite aquariums and zoos...and I am not adding this facility to them. However, I also keep a ranked list of favorite science and technology museums. I have added this excellent museum to my list at number 8 out of 49 museums I have visited in that category. Do visit here on your next sojourn through Utah!

Thanks for the species list that you provided on another photo and I would agree with you that this facility would not qualify as a "zoo". I've visited Science World in Vancouver on many occasions and coincidentally it too has 13 terrariums but I've never placed that establishment on my list of all-time zoos. I'm surprised at how many museums you've visited...impressive! It might just be time to update your zoo/aquarium/museum lists. :)

Alas I only walked by Science World in Vancouver when I visited the city in 2002, I keep meaning to go back but I always seem to try to go destinations I haven't been yet!
