Not far off - for all intents and purposes the terms kangaroo and wallaby are just size indicators; for instance taxa within Macropus are given either name depending on how large they are. As a general rule, members of the Macropodinae are separated into kangaroos or wallabies, but the smallest species are known by other names; Dorcopsis and Dorcopsulus are called dorcopsis, Thylogale are called padamelons, and Setonix brachyurus is the Quokka.
@ TLD : At Antwerp the 3 specimens ( male, female and young ) are kept in 2 conected enclosure in the Egyptian Tempel. These enclosures have thick bars and also glassfronts !
It was quite difficult to get some decent pictures through the bars and with the glass-reflection !I'm glatt you like it anyway
