I personally adore North Carolina Zoo and without a doubt it is one of my favourite 10 zoos in North America (and I've seen well over a 100). Everything is large at the zoo, including the visitor walkways and massive animal habitats. The main reason why it doesn't receive more recognition on ZooChat is that so few people have actually visited, as it is far away from other tourist attractions and located in a part of America that isn't close to other major zoos. Many of the exhibits are some of the biggest and best seen in the United States (elephant, antelope, giraffe, baboon, gorilla, chimpanzee, bison, etc).
