August 3rd, 2010. Species list: white rhino, ostrich, sitatunga, gemsbok, Nile lechwe, blesbok, Thomson\'s gazelle, greater kudu and defassa waterbuck.
Instead of wandering along the perimeter of the almost 40-acre savanna, including this beautiful boardwalk area, visitors can now opt to pay an additional $20 and jump into a Zoofari vehicle that takes them inside the exhibit. There are two tours per day, four days a week, and each tour is a 45-minute ride in a bus that has zero windows so that photos of the animals are easier to take. There are approximately 80 animals in the vast paddock and when I was there several years ago the zoo had at least 9 White Rhinos alongside many species of antelope.
