Oakland Zoo now has four spotted hyenas from UC Berkeley's research colony. Now that funding has been lost from the federal government's grant, rumor has that all 13 hyenas will end up at Oakland Zoo. It would give Oakland the largest pack in the country.
The enclosure has been split up into thirds.
