A banner displaying the prospective species list has been erected opposite the giraffe enclosure, just before you go up the hill to the lions and camels.

Animal list includes tule elk. I wonder if any zoos currently have this variety of elk?

The Fresno Zoo used to have some, but I think that Oakland is now the only zoo that does.

They can be seen in the wild at Point Reyes in the Bay Area and the Tule Elk State Reserve and Wind Wolves Preserve in the Central Valley.

Yes, up on the hill that the skyway goes up. They have been there for several years.
