I was also an intern at Ochsner's Park Zoo about 20 years ago and at that time there was grey fox, raccoon, owls but also there have been porcupine and possibly monkeys many years ago.
We are just now beginning to plan the new otter exhibit. I think it will be wonderful. Starting with the bear exhibit 10 years ago, all new exhibits have been and will be built to AZA standards. Working toward AZA accreditation and maybe never get there but we'll still continue to get there.
