Oklahoma City Zoo - Oklahoma Trails

August 2008. Alligator habitat.

The pool is not enormous, but the alligators certainly have a lot of land space for them to rest on. Interesting choice of the exhibit designers to have a rusty old carriage in the enclosure, but there is a kind of wild west theme to the Oklahoma Trails set of habitats that opened in 2007.

Do keepers do presentations off that pier above the water?

Yes, I believe that there are feeding sessions and keeper talks from that pier.

Though the pool could get a bit bigger, personaly I love this enclosure.
