It's still amazing to me that 50, 60 or even 100 year-old exhibits are still able to be viewed by the general public. Some of the bear pits and pachyderm houses in North American zoos are an abomination, as I'm sure that they are all over the world. Slowly but surely these kind of exhibits are being phased out of zoos everywhere.
Not yet. The rhinos along with Komodo dragons, orangutans, red pandas, and more will be provided with new facilities in phase 2 of Asia expansion. Until then, like mentioned above, the rhinos have access to now 4 large grassy yards.
